Proper Classy is an independent British brand creating original designs built around humour, satire, wordplay and the occasional observation on the absurdities of everyday life.

We like designs that make their point without having to shout about it. Sometimes dry, sometimes cheeky and occasionally a little provocative — but always intended to raise a smile, start a conversation or make you look twice.

Proper Classy was created by Steve Mason, who has spent rather too many years observing the things people say, the things they mean and the considerable gap that sometimes exists between the two. It started as a collection of ideas and observations that made him laugh — and the thought that some of them deserved to escape from a notebook and find their way onto something useful.

Our designs appear across clothing, mugs, bags and other things we think deserve to be a little less ordinary.

We're just getting started, so the collection will continue to grow as new ideas make their way from the drawing board onto products.
